5 Things To Remember When Trying To Loose Weight - MySupplements.ca INC.
When trying to lose weight, you may find yourself in a variety of situations where your mind or worries get the best of you. It can be overwhelming or stressful trying to stay in touch with a diet plan, or the crazy workout routine you're trying to get in, but rest assured that it doesn’t have to be that way. In today's blog, we’re going to be taking a look at the 5 most important things to remember when trying to lose weight.

#1 - Don’t over exercise
There is a common misconception that simply working out non-stop will leave you with a shredded body, when in reality it will only leave you injured or in the hospital. There’s plenty of factors that contribute to weight loss & management and working out is one of the many. Working out for 2 hours before work, after work & then again at home everyday is just going to burn you out like there's no tomorrow. Set up a proper routine that caters to your specific needs. Everyone's body will benefit from different ways of working out, so don’t feel like you need to be doing the most rigorous routine you’ve discovered online.

#2 - Cardio isn’t everything
Stemming off the first point, one thing to keep in mind when making your workout routine is that running & cardio aren’t the main workouts to lose weight. In fact, there really isn’t any main workout to lose weight. A good workout routine consists of a combination of cardio, strength training, and muscle conditioning. Spending all of your time on the treadmill may burn off some calories, but it's just going to drain you. There’s much better ways to devote that energy that will deliver a much better result. #3 - You’re scale doesn’t define you
Hopping on your scale and seeing the numbers that you want can be a great feeling, but it's important to not let it become something of a consistent concern or thought in your head. Checking your weight every morning or after every workout is truly not good for your mental health and can lead to a wide variety of mental health problems. Weight loss comes overtime and can often have delayed results. This goes hand in hand with setting realistic expectations with weight loss and recognizing it is a process that takes time.

#4 - Weight loss is a journey that takes time
No matter what that you tube video claims, it's virtually impossible to get a six pack in six days. Like we mentioned, there’s quite a bit of factors that come into play when trying to lose weight. These all can’t be done overnight in a way that will actually deliver results. There's going to be a lot of trial and error in finding what will and won’t work for you. It takes different amounts of time for everyone and there's no one rushing you to get going. Take it at your own pace and motivate yourself to change the way you live.

#5 -Diet Matters
When it comes to losing weight, none of the points above matter if you aren’t eating properly. Even if you are properly working out, if you are still eating poorly you won’t see the results you want. This goes for both overeating and under eating. It is important that you have a properly balanced diet when trying to lose weight. Starving yourself won’t result in weight loss. Stay away from fast foods and junk snacks, but don’t be afraid to treat yourself in moderation.
